Privacy Policy

MystiQ (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is a celestial intelligence platform that provides mystical readings, astrology, divination, and AI-powered interpretations. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information.

We collect the following types of information:

• Account Information: Email address, display name (via Firebase Authentication, including Google Sign-In)
• Birth Profile: Birth date, birth time, birth location (latitude/longitude) for astrology and numerology readings
• Reading History: Records of readings you've requested, including input data and AI interpretations
• Usage Data: Analytics data (page views, service usage, feature interactions) to improve the platform
• Payment Information: Stripe securely processes payments; we do not store credit card details

We use your information to:

• Provide personalized mystical readings and AI interpretations
• Calculate accurate astrological charts, numerology reports, and other birth-based readings
• Improve our AI models and service quality
• Analyze usage patterns to enhance features and user experience
• Send transactional emails (account updates, subscription confirmations)
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service

Your data is stored locally-first on our own infrastructure. A PostgreSQL database holds your account, birth profile, and reading history, and a RustFS object store holds any images you upload. These are the primary, authoritative copies of your data. We also keep an asynchronous backup in Google's Firebase / Firestore for redundancy. User authentication (including Google Sign-In) is handled by Firebase Auth. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest.

We use the following third-party services:

• Google (Firebase Auth, Gemini AI): Account authentication (including Google Sign-In), AI interpretations, and an asynchronous backup of your data in Firestore
• Stripe: Payment processing for subscriptions
• Sentry: Error tracking and monitoring

These services have access only to the minimum data necessary for their functions and are bound by strict privacy agreements.

We use minimal cookies for essential functionality, primarily Firebase authentication session cookies. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

You have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of your personal data
• Correct: Update inaccurate birth profile or account information
• Delete: Permanently delete your account and all associated data yourself, at any time, from Settings → Delete account
• Export: Download your reading history and birth profile data

We retain your data as long as your account is active. You can delete your account yourself at any time from Settings → Delete account. Doing so permanently removes your account, birth profile, reading history, and uploaded images from our primary stores immediately, and the corresponding backup copies are purged shortly afterward. If you subscribed through Google Play, you must also cancel that subscription in the Play Store to stop future charges.

MystiQ is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover such data has been collected, we will delete it immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to your registered address. Your continued use of MystiQ after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
